BX Director Job Description

OVERVIEW OF BRAINERD CROSSROADS: As a ministry of Brainerd Baptist Church, Brainerd Crossroads (the BX)  is a primary avenue for Brainerd to engage our community. Through conversations, ministry events, a fitness gym, sports, and event room rentals, the BX creates an environment where our community is exposed to the love and message of Jesus.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The BX Director has responsibility for Brainerd Crossroads. This includes care for the facility, facilitating special church events, organizing rental space for community organizations, coordinating the use of the facility for church ministries, managing the fitness center, and coordinating the overall outreach efforts of Brainerd Baptist Church through the BX. The Director ensures that proper care is given to the facility and provides quality service to both church events and external events while upholding the mission values of Brainerd Baptist Church at all times.

SKILLS: The BX Director has superior people skills, working with people of all ages within the church and in the greater community, monitoring policies and procedures for the facility so that Brainerd will be effective in church ministries and outreach efforts. The Director is also detail-oriented (especially when it comes to the proper implementation of facility and front desk procedures). The Director will oversee gym memberships and insurance payment plans, manage fitness equipment repairs and maintenance as well as be responsible for the overall cleanliness of the facility.

COMPETENCIES: The BX Director possesses a thorough knowledge of and adherence to company policies and procedures, both in general and specifically in fitness classes and fitness equipment. The Director resolves on-site concerns through effective communication and monitors financial matters to ensure that information is accurate and submitted on a timely basis.

EDUCATION: A college degree or equivalent is preferred.

REPORTS TO: Missions Pastor and works closely with the Operations Pastor

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: The BX Director will serve as a liaison between the church and many external organizations who use the BX for various activities. The Director models the love of Jesus for BX members and those in the community.
